My name is Adam Fosson and I am the proud owner of Tree Craft Traditions, established in 2022, based in Traverse City, MI. I have an incredible supporting cast, including my partner MJ, Chief Creative Officer (CCO) for TCT, and our two boys who are slowly learning the ways of woodworking.

Between middle school and college, I grew up working with my father at the business he started from the ground up, Tree Craft Log Homes. Every summer, I spent countless hours either at a sawmill or on job sites in western NC building log homes or manufacturing the kits to build them. In all, over 100 homes in NC, SC, TN, and OH are either built by dad, or from his kits.

While in grade school, he visited my elementary school to do wood carving demonstrations. He helped my boy scout troop build their cars. We made high school science projects out of scrap wood he had laying around. He loved to build custom-made furniture for friends and family. It brought him pure joy to see how people would react when delivering his furniture pieces.

Since his passing in 2018, I’ve realized how much I learned watching and working with him all those years. I miss my dad’s advice, knowledge, and creativity every day. His legacy lives on with a company founded that echoes his spirit, passion, and expertise.

Tree Craft Traditions’ namesake is intended to honor my father, and his mantra of building high-quality furniture and woodworking products. My guiding principles are:

• Understanding what the customer wants/needs – Following part of my career supporting the US government, I am not afraid to ask questions to ensure I clearly understand your requirements knowing that is the only way to succeed.
• Communication is critical – I will communicate clearly and transparently with customers from start to finish on any project.
• High quality is the only result – The only finished product that will be delivered is one I would keep for myself.
